Elizabeth was our Seasonal Rehabilitator for six months during the summer of 2021, before joining our full-time rehab staff in January 2022. She has a bachelor’s degree in Biological Sciences from Virginia Tech, where she took many classes focusing on wildlife biology, ecology, and conservation. During her college summers, Elizabeth gained wildlife care experience with two internships at Mercer County Wildlife Center in her home state of New Jersey. She is happy to be working in the Pacific Northwest where she can continue to learn about many different species and can work towards becoming a licensed Wildlife Rehabilitator in Washington State. As a staff rehabilitator, Elizabeth will be involved in all aspects of animal care, and in training and supervising rehab staff, interns and volunteers.
