Transport Volunteers Needed!

Wolf Hollow is excited to announce that we are looking for volunteers!

We apologize for the long silence; there was a lot to accomplish before the busy season started! Now that we are entering the slow season, we can focus on volunteer recruitment and engagement. We are looking for volunteers to help with transportation, animal care, education & outreach, facility maintenance, and fundraising.

We are going to start transport volunteer trainings in September. In the meantime, please fill out the survey below. The survey will give us information on what volunteer positions you are interested in, as well as your location and availability. Feel free to send this survey to anyone you know who might be interested in volunteering! Filling out this survey is a pre-requisite for volunteering, for both established and new volunteers.

Our first volunteer transport training will be here on San Juan Island on Sept, 18th 6-8pm at the Whale Museum. We will offer more training sessions later this winter for other islands if you are unable to attend this one, so keep an eye on your email!

  • Welcome Grace: 2025 Summer Rehabilitation Intern!

Grace grew up in San Luis Obispo, California and has dreamed of working with wildlife since she was a kid. In high school, she had her first exposure to rehabilitation as a volunteer with a local wildlife rehab center. She graduated in May 2025 from Utah State University with a bachelor’s degree in Wildlife Ecology and Management. Throughout college, she worked in several research labs, studying aquatic invertebrates, wetland plants, and bee behavior. Additionally, she worked at Zootah, a small zoo in Northern Utah, caring for a variety of species including iguanas, parrots, muntjacs, and pelicans. She will return to Utah State this fall to pursue a DVM degree in the hopes of becoming a wildlife veterinarian. She is excited to continue her journey of caring for wildlife as an intern at Wolf Hollow this summer!
