Welcome Linnea: 2025 Summer Education/Research Intern!

Linnea is a senior at Oregon State University, where she is earning a B.S. in Biology with a focus in Ecology, and completing a GIS certificate. She is passionate about protecting wildlife and local ecosystems and plans to pursue a career in wildlife conservation research.

While growing up in Washington, Linnea volunteered at Wolf Hollow with her Girl Scout troop, helping prepare the grounds and facilities for the start of baby season. During college, she has participated in undergraduate research where she worked in a marine ecology lab, conducting a study on disturbance recovery in the intertidal zone. Through this experience, she developed skills in ecological research which she uses to help others understand the science behind ecosystem health and conservation. She also has experience coaching elementary school students and looks forward to bringing those teaching skills into environmental education settings.

During her time at Wolf Hollow, Linnea is excited to expand her knowledge of science education, collaborate with local stewardship groups, and engage the public in protecting local wildlife.
