Elizabeth Bukovec – Wildlife Rehabilitator

Elizabeth Bukovec joined our staff as a Wildlife Rehabilitator in January 2022.  Elizabeth was our Seasonal Rehabilitator for six months during the summer of 2021.  She then stayed on to help with animal care after wildlife rehabber Abby Fuhriman left at the end of September to have a baby. She has a bachelor’s degree in Biological Sciences from Virginia Tech, where she took many classes focusing on wildlife biology, ecology, and conservation. During her college summers, Elizabeth gained wildlife care experience with two internships at Mercer County Wildlife Center in New Jersey.  She is happy to be working in the Pacific Northwest where she can continue to learn about different species and work towards getting her wildlife rehabilitator’s license in Washington State.
